Our Philosophy

The first five years of life are the most important for building the foundation for a child’s future. At our daycare, we offer thoughtfully designed plans, programs, and experiences that enrich each child’s growth and development. Guided by the How Learning Happens pedagogy, we focus on fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.


We believe children learn best from the examples we set. Our educators model the respect, kindness, and positive behaviours we wish to see, creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. With love, patience, and understanding, we ensure each child’s needs are met in a safe, secure, and inclusive space.


Play is at the heart of learning. Through our play-based programming, children develop social, sensory, cognitive, and motor skills while exploring early academics in a fun and engaging way. By observing their interests closely, we adapt our programs to spark curiosity, support growth, and give every child the best possible start in life.

Kanata North Daycare

Nature and Nurture has been proudly serving families since 2014.
Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac just off March Road in Kanata, our center provides a safe, welcoming space for young learners. We offer full-time programs for toddlers and preschoolers, and we’re happy to discuss availability for infants upon request. All of our nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared onsite.

Kelsey Cameron, RECE has been our Director since 2014. Kelsey values play-based learning and a warm welcoming environment where the children get to explore.
